Holy Family Dinner Dance Auction 2022
Saturday, February 5, 2022
Country Club of Decatur

Dinner Dance Auctions – Things to know

Arrival: For guests who purchased VIP tickets, doors will open at 5:30 with an open bar cocktail hour from 5:30 – 6:30.  For those guests who purchased a standard ticket, doors will open at 6:25PM.  The bar will become a cash bar for all promptly at 6:30.

What to Wear: The possibilities are endless with fun Ski Lodge theme with this- so feel free to get as creative as you want! Or take the chance to wear jeans and sweater to a fundraiser! Either one is a win-win and will be so much fun!

Check in process: When you arrive, please proceed to the table that is setup in the entryway. Here, will ask you for your name and will give you your bid number and table assignment.  If you have not yet put a credit card on file, but plan on making purchases, we can get that set up for you as well. You can also buy heads or tails, dress down days, or ShotSki with your bid number.

Dinner: Plated dinner is served at 6:45PM. Don’t be late!

Dessert Dash: A Holy Family tradition! This occurs right after dinner.  When you arrive at your table, you will find an envelope that your entire table can use to pool money together for the dessert of your dreams.  The table who collects the most money gets to pick their dessert first, second highest will go second, so on and so forth.  You can either put cash in the envelop or provide your bid number and the amount of the donation.  There are enough desserts for every table, but you might not get the dessert you want. Please note, it is one dessert to share amongst the table.  If you are extra brave you can even nominate yourself to be the dessert runner for the table!  If you choose to do this, maybe avoid the shotski until after dessert!

Silent Auction: All bidding is done online via the Greater Giving website (hfcsil2022.ggo.bid). The silent auction closes at 7:30PM.  You can pick up your purchase(s) at HFCS starting Tuesday  Feb. 8th.

Kids auction items: These items will be on site for your viewing pleasure and are part of the silent auction.  All bidding is done via the Greater Giving website. You can (carefully) take these items home with you that night.

Live auction: This will occur promptly after dessert.  We have 11 items to auction off.  You can peruse these items on the Greater Giving website but all bidding will be done by raising a paddle high to the sky the night of the DDA.  Items will be available for pickup at HFCS starting on Tuesday Feb. 8th

Heads or tails: Exactly what it sounds like.  You buy chances (by way of beads) to guess a coin flip.  You guess right, you stay in the game, you guess wrong, you take off a string of beads. Once you are out of beads, you are out of the game. Last person standing wins part of the pot.

Non-alcoholic drinks: Coffee, tea and water are included with your ticket.

Alcoholic drinks:  CCD has a fully stocked cash bar on site.  Don’t know what to drink? Check out our signature cocktail!  A portion of these proceeds will come back to the school and who doesn’t love enjoying a cocktail for a good cause.

Band:  Pizzazz will start promptly after the auction is over.  They are amazing and dancing is a great way to burn calories! Bid for kids: Help us grow our outdoor space. Check out the renderings and learn more about this project at the DDA. We will have a call to action after the auction where you can donate to this project.

Last call: 10:45PM

Check out:  if your credit card is on file, do no more.  You will automatically receive a receipt of your winnings via email.

Use your head: Please help protect our community by not attending the DDA if you are feeling ill or have been in close contact with someone who is sick.  We ask that you follow CDC guidelines in regards to positive COVID cases and quarantines.  Please note that the mask mandate for Illinois is still in effect.

Any questions the night of the event: Just ask!  We are here to help!
